Subject: Sponsorship for Juan de la Cierva/Beatriu de Pinós postdoctoral contracts at UPF Barcelona


The Formal Linguistics Research Group (GLiF) in the Department of
Translation and Language Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra,
Barcelona (Spain) is accepting expressions of interest from
researchers interested in applying to the upcoming Juan de la Cierva
and Beatriu de Pinós postdoctoral calls:

Juan de la Cierva: This is a 2-year, competitive postdoctoral contract
awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and
Universities. Based on previous years’ calls, the PhD will have to
have been successfully defended and approved between Jan. 1, 2023,
with limited extensions allowed for specific circumstances, and Dec.
31, 2024. The start date is expected to be between the last quarter of
2025 and Sept. 1, 2026. Information from last year’s call (in Spanish)

Beatriu de Pinós: This is a 3-year, competitive awarded by the Catalan
AGAUR. Based on previous years’ calls, the PhD will have to have been
successfully defended and approved between Jan. 1, 2017, with limited
extensions allowed for specific circumstances, and Dec. 31, 2022. The
start date is expected to be between the last quarter of 2025 and
April 1, 2026. Information from last year’s call can be found here:

Individual candidates are sponsored by permanent faculty/staff, and
each staff member may sponsor only one candidate. Final decisions
about which candidates will be sponsored will be based on a
combination of best match between sponsor/candidate research profiles
and the strength of the candidates’ CVs. The list of GLiF permanent

If you are interested in applying, please send a CV along with a brief
message describing your research interests to the faculty/staff member
that you would like to work with. Expressions of interest received by
December 15, 2024 will receive priority for consideration for
sponsorship.
