It is with great pleasure that we announce the publication of the
latest issue of Sociolinguistica (38:2), a special issue that
showcases current trends in Icelandic sociolinguistics. The
introduction, by issue editor Ari Páll Kristinsson of the Árni
Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies in Reykjavík, is available
to read without a subscription to the journal. The two interviews with
key figures in the field — Ernst Håkon Jahr (University of Agder) and
Leena Huss (Uppsala University) — are also freely available for a
month. You can read more about the interview series in the editors’
freely available introduction in issue 37:2.
