Description:
The Department of Linguistics at Rutgers, the State University of New
Jersey – New Brunswick invites applications for a tenure-track
position in Linguistics with a focus on Semantics and Pragmatics, at
the level of Assistant Professor. Salary will be commensurate with
experience. The position will begin on September 1, 2025.
The successful candidate will be engaged in a rich and productive
research program in semantics, with the additional option of
pragmatics, which contributes to the breadth and depth of our
department. The candidate will teach and advise students at both the
undergraduate and graduate levels on a regular basis in semantics and
pragmatics, areas that interface with them, and general linguistics;
and will perform scholarly service for the benefit of the department,
university, and field.
Rutgers University – New Brunswick is both a leading research
