Issue: Livonian Studies V
Call Deadline: 15-Jan-2026
We would like to invite you to contribute to a special issue focusing
on Livonian studies of the Journal of Estonian and Finno-Ugric
Linguistics (ESUKA – JEFUL), which will already be the fifth special
Livonian studies issue published by the journal. ESUKA – JEFUL is a
peer-reviewed open access journal published by the University of Tartu
Press. The journal does not charge APCs or submission charges from the
authors. The journal is indexed by Scopus and Web of Science.
We are interested in articles on all linguistic, sociolinguistic, and
interdisciplinary topics relating to the present and historical
situation of the Livonians, their language, culture, and history.
As it has always been important to encourage sharing Livonian-related
research with audiences from different countries, the language for
abstracts and articles is English.
Abstracts must be submitted to the editors by 15 January 2026. Please
submit abstracts by email to the guest editor team (liv at lu.lv). The
deadline for submitting full article manuscripts (via journal website)
will be 15 June 2026. The special issue will be published as the first
ESUKA-JEFUL issue of 2027.
The word limit for the abstracts is 250 words excl. references. Please
also include 6-8 keywords. For more information on the ESUKA-JEFUL
