The Lingua student group at UTA is excited to announce that we will
accept abstracts for the 30th Annual University of Texas at Arlington
Student Conference in Linguistics and TESOL (UTASCILT). This annual
conference provides a fantastic opportunity for students to refine
their presentation skills, showcase their research, and engage with a
wider academic audience. We encourage all students—whether
undergraduate or graduate—to participate, especially if you are
working on projects related to linguistics or TESOL.
This is a perfect platform to share class projects, works in progress,
thesis research, proposals, or qualifying papers. Whether you’re just
starting or nearing the completion of your work, we’d love to see your
contributions. Additionally, all presenters at the conference will be
considered for the Yumi Nakamura Memorial Prize in Linguistics, which
is an annual award with a ***cash prize***.
This year’s conference will be held on Friday, April 4th, 2025. For
this day-long conference, we will be accepting abstracts for
Paper presentations: 250-300 word abstract
Poster Presentations: 250-300 word abstract
Sandbox (NEW!) Lightning Presentations: Instead of an abstract, you
are asked to fill out question prompts. Please consider completing the
form, which includes an abstract submission or a short description of
your work. We will be accepting these submissions until Monday,
February 28th. Presenters will be notified by March 17th.
Please consider filling out the form for your submission. The link for
