Important dates:
- Proposal submission deadline: March 1st, 2025
- Notification of acceptance: March 15th, 2025
- Registration: From March 30th to June 15th, 2025
The conference will be held in blended format (online and at
Universidad de La Laguna, Tenerife, Spain) on June 26-27, 2025.
The main theme of the conference will be Resources for L2 pragmatics
teaching across instructional contexts. The following scholars have
accepted to be the keynote speakers:
 - Dr Veronika Timpe-Laughlin (Educational Testing Service, Princeton,
US)
 - Dr J. César Félix-Brasdefer (Indiana University Bloomington, US)
1. Presentation Types
 A) Individual oral presentations: 20-minute oral presentations,
followed by 10 minutes for questions and discussion. Presentations
should be prepared with the aim of addressing a wide audience (e.g.,
both researchers and practitioners).
 B) Workshops: 30-minute hands-on sessions which should include a
variety of practical activities in order to engage the audience in the
session.
English will be the language of the conference, but presentations in
other languages are welcome.
2. Topics
The presentations and workshops may include the following topics, but
other topics related to the conference’s theme will be welcome:
 - Research on the implementation and/or effects of different
resources (written, audiovisual, digital, blended…) for the teaching
of L2 pragmatics.
 - Analyses of the learning affordances of published materials for the
teaching of L2 pragmatics.
 - Adaptations of already-existing materials for the teaching of L2
pragmatics.
 - Design (and implementation) of teacher-created materials for the
teaching of L2 pragmatics.
 - Teaching practices (See Workshops above) that focus on the
implementation of resources and materials for the teaching of L2
pragmatics.
3. Submissions
To submit your proposal, follow the instructions you will find in the

Your proposal should be sent as an anonymised file that includes (i)
the title of your proposal, (ii) an abstract no longer than 300 words,
and (iii) relevant references. Please, use Times New Roman 12 pt and
1,5 space.
4. Registration fees*
Presenter (in person/online): 30€
Attendee (in person/online): 10€
*Participants from countries listed in the DAC list of ODA recipients
will be eligible for a fee waiver.
