We are happy to announce the Call for Papers for the 9th International
Conference on Maltese Linguistics. The conference will be jointly
organized by Ruben van de Vijver (Heinrich-Heine-Universität,
Düsseldorf) and both branches of the Malta Centre; by Raffaello
Bezzina (Malta), Michela Vella (Malta) and Maike Vorholt (Bremen).
Plenary Speakers:
Jessica Nieder (Malta)
Christopher Lucas (SOAS, London)
We invite abstracts for oral presentations on all topics related to
Maltese linguistics, as well as papers focusing on Maltese in relation
to other languages.
Abstracts for oral presentations should not exceed 300 words. Each
presentation should be no longer than 30 minutes including time for
questions and/or discussion. The conference language is English.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the programme committee.
Deadline for submission of abstracts: 15 May 2025
Notification of abstract acceptance: 19 June 2025
