Description:
Specialist in Romance linguistics (phonetics, phonology, morphology
and syntax) with particular skills in Italian and Spanish linguistics.
A comparative and applied approach is required.
Area of Research:
Linguistics of romance languages.
Educational and scientific goals:
The successful candidate will be responsible for training students in
the Faculty of Letters, Translation and Communication – including the
supervision and evaluation of dissertations and thesis – in the
linguistics of Italian and Spanish in a broad vision of Romance
languages.
Courses covered at the time of recruitment:
Linguistique comparée des langues romanes (Bachelor)
Linguistique de l’italien (Master)
Linguistique de l’espagnol (Master)
These courses are primarily intended for students of Romance Languages
and Literatures as well as students of Modern Languages and
Literatures. In a second phase, the successful candidate will be
responsible for another course primarily intended for students of
Translation and Interpretation:
Linguistique appliquée des langues romanes (lexicologie, terminologie,
traduction) (Master)

the time of their recruitment.
- Post-doctoral experience and an excellent scientific record are a
plus.
- Exchange periods outside of the applicants’ home institution (during
or after their PhD) will be taken into consideration when evaluating

- Applicants must be able to teach in French, Italian and Spanish.
- Teaching experience at university level is an advantage.
