Tallinn University is the largest humanities teaching university in
Tallinn and the third largest public university in Estonia. The School
of Humanities is the largest center for education and research in the
humanities in Tallinn, offering programs at the bachelor's, master's,
and doctoral levels.
Tallinn University announces a competition for a position of Tenure
Track Associate Professor (the position of Tenure System career level
I).
Work assignments:
Conducting teaching and research in the field of language teaching and
learning with a focus on language didactics and methodological studies
addressing contemporary learning methods. Strengthening collaboration
in the teaching of foreign languages and Estonian as a second language
to enhance the overall effectiveness and integration of language
learning in Estonia.
Acting as a public advocate for topics related to language teaching
and learning, training and supporting colleagues, and participating in
institutional activities.
Language skills:
High level proficiency in English and in one other foreign language.
Professor is expected to learn Estonian at B1 level in the first three
years of tenure and to reach B2 level in five years.
