Subject: Survey participation: Feedback in Academia

We’re launching a new project to enhance feedback practices across the
research community. Academia faces challenges with the
underrepresentation of marginalised groups, and existing feedback
mechanisms can often reinforce these disparities. This project aims to
address this by mapping and evaluating emerging feedback opportunities
throughout the research cycle, guided by open scholarship principles.
We’re inviting researchers from diverse disciplines and regions to
participate in our voluntary survey. Whether you seek feedback through
discussions with colleagues, AI tools, or other methods, your insights
are crucial to ensure that we capture a wide range of feedback
strategies.
The final result will be an e-book filled with actionable strategies
to elevate research quality and support researchers worldwide. We hope
to foster cross-disciplinary sharing of initiatives and create a
richer, more inclusive feedback environment—particularly benefiting
researchers with lower privilege such as early-career and marginalised
researchers.
How You Can Contribute
The survey takes just 5-15 minutes to complete, and your insights will
play a crucial role in shaping future research practices. We are
currently entering the data collection phase and need as many
responses as possible to make this study impactful, so please consider
sharing this survey with your colleagues. Your participation and
support are invaluable to us.

Requirements: Academic researchers employed in a Higher Education
Institution (or similar) with a responsibility for research. This does
not include individuals completing research primarily for educational
purposes (e.g., PhD).
Your Voice Matters
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a global conversation
and make a real difference in the academic community.
Thank you for helping us build a more inclusive research environment!
Best,
