The Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities of Kaunas
University of Technology invites you to an international conference
dedicated to discussing the rapidly expanding language industry and
the application of artificial intelligence. The event will focus on
how these developments transform research methodologies, enhance
public access to information in both native and non-native languages,
and pose new challenges and opportunities.
The conference aims to bring together philologists, educators,
language technology specialists, and other researchers to share their
experiences and insights on topics such as:
- The potential of Artificial Intelligence in Lithuanian language
research and didactics;
- The impact of machine translation on language, its ethical aspects
and post-editing practices;
- The impact of AI and globalisation on the status and prestige of the
official language;
- Increasing the availability of language resources and its
implications for the information society.
The conference will take place on May 8–9, 2025, in Kaunas, at the
Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities of Kaunas University
of Technology, located at A. Mickevičiaus St. 37.
