The Department of English at the Faculty of Education, Purkyně
University announces its tenth international conference for academics
and practitioners involved in educating teachers of foreign languages.
The Department of English at the Faculty of Education, Purkyně
University announces its eleventh international conference for
academics and practitioners involved in educating teachers of foreign
languages.
CHALLENGES is our ongoing series of conferences organized by the
English Department at Purkyně University (UJEP). The main aim of the
conference is to share current views, new trends, innovative ideas and
experience in foreign language teaching and teacher education.
The plenary talk will be held by an internationally renowned
researcher.
A selection of accepted papers will be published in our series of ELT
volumes by an international publishing house.
Abstract submissions pertaining, but not limited, to the following key
terms are welcome:
- Applied linguistics & education
- ELT methodology
- Cultural studies and teaching
- Literary studies and teaching
Abstracts:
Abstracts should be around 200-250 words, not including examples and
references. Submission ends 15 May, 2025.
Abstract submissions should be made through EasyAbstracts.

Presentations:
Presentations will be 20 minutes in length with 10 minutes for
questions and discussion.
Conference fee (to be paid by 1 Sept):
The conference fee is CZK 2,000 (€ 80).
