Job Title: NLP Engineer - Real-Time Bias Detection in Meeting
Transcripts
Job Rank: Consultant
Salary: $100-150/hr depending on experience
Minimum Education: PhD in Psychology or Linguistics
Specialty Areas: Computational Linguistics
Specialty Language(s): English (eng)
English based
Other Specialties: NLP experience: text classification, sentiment
analysis, linguistic feature extraction
Description:
Build production NLP algorithms that detect cognitive biases
(anchoring, confirmation bias, groupthink) in real-time corporate
meeting transcripts. You'll create linguistic feature extraction
pipelines that integrate with AI-powered meeting analytics serving
Fortune 500 decision-makers.
Deliverables (4-week sprint):
- Bias detection algorithm specifications for 3 priority biases with
documented trade-offs
- Feature engineering: Extract signals from meeting transcripts
(speaking patterns, question framing, agreement clustering)
- Working Python prototype: Process transcript + audio features →
bias scores + confidence intervals + timestamps
- Zoom SDK integration specifications for real-time implementation by
the engineering team
- Test dataset: 50+ labeled meeting scenarios demonstrating algorithm
performance
Required Qualifications:
- Strong Python programming (ML/NLP libraries: spaCy, NLTK, Hugging
Face)
- NLP experience: text classification, sentiment analysis, linguistic
feature extraction
- Statistical modeling: classification, regression, model validation
- Production mindset: Git, testing, documentation, performance
optimization
Strong Plus:
- Real-time data processing (streaming pipelines, websockets)
- Startup or fast-paced product development experience
- Published NLP research or GitHub projects in applied computational
linguistics
Timeline:
- Start within 7 days of acceptance
- 4 weeks, 20-30 hours/week (full-time preferred)
- Remote work with flexible hours
