Vocabulary knowledge remains a cornerstone of second language (L2)
learning, central to achieving communicative competence and overall
proficiency. The field of L2 vocabulary studies is characterized by
its dynamic evolution, constantly generating new research questions,
and fostering innovative methodologies for teaching, learning, and
assessment. To capture these ongoing developments and stimulate
further discussion, this Special Issue of the CJAL/RCLA invites
manuscript submissions.
La connaissance du vocabulaire reste un pilier de l'apprentissage
d'une langue seconde (L2), essentiel à l'acquisition de compétences
communicatives et à la maitrise globale de la langue. Le domaine des
études sur le vocabulaire en L2 se caractérise par son évolution
dynamique, générant de nouvelles questions de recherche et favorisant
des méthodologies innovantes pour l'enseignement, l'apprentissage et
l'évaluation. Afin de saisir ces développements continus et de
stimuler la discussion, ce numéro spécial de la Revue canadienne de
linguistique appliquée invite les auteurs à soumettre leurs
manuscrits.
Interested authors should send an abstract (max 300 words) for their
proposed articles to geoff.pinchbeck at carleton.ca no later than
December 1, 2025. Please include the full name and affiliation for all
authors in your email and/or abstract document. The proposal will be
assessed for its suitability for the special issue by January 12,
2026. Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit a full
manuscript for peer review by May 15, 2025.
Les auteurs intéressés doivent envoyer un résumé (300 mots maximum) de
leur proposition d'article à geoff.pinchbeck at carleton.ca avant le 1er
décembre 2025. Veuillez inclure le nom complet et l'affiliation de
tous les auteurs dans votre courriel ou votre résumé. La pertinence
des propositions pour le numéro spécial sera évaluée pour le 12
janvier 2026. Les auteurs des résumés acceptés seront invités à
soumettre leur manuscrit complet pour examen par les pairs pour le 15
mai 2026.
