Focus: The summer school will focus on experimental methods in Second
Language Acquisition. It will offer a non-exhaustive overview of some
of the most commonly used contemporary experimental methods in SLA.
Description:
This year, the REAL 2 Network summer school will focus on experimental
methods in Second Language Acquisition. It will offer a non-exhaustive
overview of some of the most commonly used contemporary experimental
methods in SLA. It is aimed at PhD students, researchers and postdocs
who would like to discover these methods or deepen their knowledge and
practice in this area. The summer school programme includes
presentations by several French, European and non-European researchers
and expert engineers. Presentations will be given in French or
English. The programme includes plenary lectures in the morning and
practical workshops in the afternoon. There will also be opportunities
for informal exchanges during lunches, dinners and evening events on
site in a pleasant and relaxed setting.
Tuition: €400
Tuition Explanation: Registration is available under the
‘Registration’ section and remains open until 14 April 2026.
Successful applicants will be required to pay the registration fee,
which covers five nights’ accommodation (from 5–6 July to 9–10 July)
at the Ethic Etapes Youth Hostel, St Malo
(https://tourisme.ty-al-levenez.fr/), as well as full board from 6–9
July 2026. On 10 July, only lunch is included. Dinners on 5 July and
10 July are not included.
Participants will be accommodated in shared rooms.

€300 (reduced rate)
Members of universities/laboratories who have paid the membership fee
for the ReAL2 Scientific Federation are entitled to the reduced rate.
