Submission Deadline: 17-May-2026

We are pleased to invite researchers to contribute to the Workshop
"NLP tools and methods for diachronic lexical semantics" that will
take place as part of the LLcD2026 conference (December 2026,
Aix-en-Provence, France). The focus of the Workshop is on diachrony
and lexical semantics, addressing two questions: (1) does the
performance of NLP tools vary depending on the historical period and
language considered? (2) when are manual or semi-automatic annotations
more reliable than NLP methods?
Submission Guidelines:
 - Abstracts not exceeding 500 words (including examples, excluding
references) should be submitted via EasyChair:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=llcd2026
 - When submitting, please select WS4. NLP tools and methods for
diachronic lexical semantics in the subsection 'Other information and
files'.
 - Abstracts should follow the template provided on the LLcD2026
website: https://llcd2026.sciencesconf.org/resource/page/id/7
Key Dates:
Abstract submission deadline: 17 May 2026
LLcD2026: 14-16 December 2026
There are no restrictions on the language(s) or time periods covered.
We particularly encourage contributions with a comparative,
evaluative, or methodologically reflective perspective that
systematically compare human-assisted annotation with fully automatic
approaches. The language of the workshop is English.
Organizing Committee:
Andrea Farina (King's College London, UK)
Zinaida Geylikman (Independent Researcher, France)
Bastien Liétard (King's College London, UK)
