Subject: Sociolinguistic Approaches to Spanish and Arabic in Contact: A Panel Discussion


The editors of “Sociolinguistic Approaches to Spanish and Arabic in
Contact”  (Farah Ali, Carol Ready and Sherez Mohamed) invite you to
attend an online, virtual webinar to hear from some of the authors on
their contributions to the volume. The webinar will begin with a brief
introduction by Carol Ready (Associate Professor of Spanish and
Linguistics at Oklahoma State University). Each author will provide
brief overviews of their contributions to the volume. Speakers include
Patricia Giménez-Eguíbar (Professor of Hispanic Linguistics at Western
Oregon University), Pilar Garrido Clemente (Professor of Arabic and
Islamic Studies at the University of Murcia), Sherez Mohamed (Honors
College Lecturer at the State University of New York at Albany), Bryan
Kirschen (Associate Professor of Spanish and LInguistics at Binghamton
University) and Farah Ali (Associate Professor of Spanish and
Linguistics at DePauw University) as moderator.
