Call Deadline: 31-Mar-2026

The Oral Archives Journal (OAr)
(https://riviste.fupress.net/index.php/oarj/index) has launched a call
for papers for Volume 3, entitled “From Production to Use and Reuse.”
This volume seeks contributions that reflect on the multiple ways in
which oral sources are produced, documented, preserved, and repurposed
in contemporary scholarly, educational, artistic, and community
settings, with particular attention to their use and reuse for
linguistic, sociolinguistic, dialectological, socio-anthropological,
and historical research. The journal encourages papers that engage
with the entire life cycle of oral archives, from fieldwork and data
creation to long-term preservation and public dissemination, as well
as critical discussions of the ethical, legal, and technological
frameworks that shape access and reuse. The call also welcomes broader
reflections on how emerging digital infrastructures, institutional
policies, and collaborative practices are transforming the field of
oral archiving today. Articles may be submitted in English, Italian,
or French and will undergo double-blind peer review within a fully
open access publishing model.
Oral Archives Journal (OArJ) is an open access peer-reviewed
international journal dedicated to oral sources. It aims at offering a
critical space for discussing issues related to the construction,
maintenance, use and reuse of oral archives. The journal publishes
academically rigorous and original works in Italian, French and
English. It is published once a year, available online in open access.
