DESCRIPTION
===========
Arabic WordNet 4.0 was created using the expand approach, translating
the Open English WordNet into Arabic. It provides comprehensive
coverage
of Arabic vocabulary with semantic relations including hypernymy,
hyponymy, meronymy, and antonymy.
The resource is compatible with the standard 'wn' Python library:
import wn
wn.download('file:awn4.xml.gz')
synsets = wn.synsets(lang='arb')
METHODOLOGY
===========
Arabic WordNet 4.0 was created using the expand approach, machine
translating
Open English WordNet into Arabic using Gemini 3 Pro Preview. The
resource is derived from
Open English WordNet (CC BY 4.0), which is based on Princeton WordNet
3.0.
ATTRIBUTION
===========
Derived from Open English WordNet (CC BY 4.0), based on Princeton
