2nd Call for Papers:
We are happy to announce that the 6th edition of the Linguistics
Prague conference will be held from June 4 to June 5 2026 at the
Faculty of Arts of Charles University in the historical center of
Prague. The conference will take place in person.
The aim of the conference is to bring together graduate students and
early career researchers whose research addresses any topics relevant
to linguistics and is grounded in empirical methods.
We invite contributions employing quantitative and qualitative
empirical research methods, synchronic and diachronic perspectives,
cross-linguistic research, corpus research, modelling, psycho- and
neurolinguistic and cognitively oriented approaches as well as applied
ones, in any language and register – spoken, written or sign.
We invite submissions for oral presentations (20 minutes talk + 10
minutes discussion) and poster presentations of original, unpublished
data-oriented work. The presented work can be already finished,
preregistered (i.e., preregistered reports) or still ongoing.
Abstracts on such projects should present detailed information on the
methodological aspects (sample, technique used), planned analysis, and
theoretical relevance. Since this conference is not limited to a
particular topic or language research, we also strongly encourage
submissions dealing with linguistic phenomena from various languages.
Abstract Guidelines:
We ask for the submission of abstracts by 1 February 2026, 23:59
anywhere on earth. Abstracts must be anonymous and must not reveal the
identities of the authors in any way. Their length should not exceed
400 words; word count should be provided under the body of the
abstract. References, formulas, tables/figures, and glosses of
examples from languages other than English as well as the respective
paraphrases are not included in the word count. Please use 12 point
Times New Roman (Unicode) font, single line spacing and set margins to
2.5 cm on all sides. The final document must fit on two pages. There
is a template provided on our website which is free to use. At most
two submissions per (co-)author are permitted, only one submission may
be single-authored. Abstracts should be submitted in PDF format via
OpenReview at the following address:
https://openreview.net/group?id=CUNI.cz/Linguistics_Prague/2026/Conference
The submission form will ask you for a PDF and a plain text of your
abstract. Please upload both. Only the PDF will later be reviewed by
reviewers, so you do not have to worry about the formatting of the
plain text. In the form, you can select which type of presentation
mode you prefer (oral or poster).
Please note that new profiles on OpenReview created with an
institutional email will be activated automatically. New profiles
created without an institutional email will go through a moderation
process that can take up to two weeks.

Important Dates:
Abstract submission deadline: February 1 2026 (23:59 anywhere on
