Description:

Short-term Fellowships at the Collaborative Research Center 1629
“Negation in language and beyond” (NegLaB)
The Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) “Negation in language and
beyond” (SFB 1629 NegLaB) at Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität
Frankfurt am Main, focuses on a comprehensive exploration of the topic
of negation in language and cognition. The general aim of the CRC is
to unravel the complexities of negation across different languages and
its implications for our understanding of linguistic competence and
cognition by employing diverse empirical methods, including corpus
analyses and experimental studies. The CRC comprises 15 projects,
organized in three research domains. Details can be found here:
https://www.neglab.de/
In this third call, we offer three 4-month short-term fellowships for
international doctoral and postdoctoral researchers. We look for
applicants who wish to pursue their own research proposal in close
connection to the research focus of the CRC. The fellowship enables
early career researchers to collaborate with experts from the CRC and
with international invited experts on the topic of negation. We offer
a stimulating international collaborative environment, trainings in
methodology and data evaluation as well as measures fostering
individual career development.
Funding Period:
Flexible starting date between January 4, 2027 and September 1, 2027
