research for educational settings and b) the role of language skills

neurodivergent development

The Interdisciplinary Lab "Linguistics and Grammar Teaching", National
and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece

(https://www.ccgs.csah.cam.ac.uk/) are delighted to invite you to take
part in the 1st International Summer School on Language: Health &
Education (LangHealEdu) to be held in person on the island of Chios in
the Aegean Sea.
The School is directed at graduates, postgraduate and advanced
undergraduate students with an interest in the relationship between
linguistics and real-world practice. Participants will explore the
value of linguistic research for educational settings – including the
growing role of digital tools and AI in language teaching – as well as
the role of language in the cognitive and linguistic profiles of
monolingual and bilingual learners across neurotypical and
neurodivergent development. The programme also addresses research on
the effectiveness of interventions in schools, health, and social
welfare structures designed to support language development in these
groups.
The intensive short programme (36 hours) offers 1.5-hour sessions
across two core themes – Language & Health and Language & Education –
taught by leading experts from the UK and Greece.
The School aspires to foster a community of scholars and practitioners
committed to ensuring that advances in linguistic science find
meaningful application in education, health, and social welfare.
Tuition: 150 Euros
Tuition Explanation: The tuition fee is a flat fee regardless of the
number of sessions attended and is the same for all students. The fee
does not cover meals or accommodation.
