Call for Papers:
The organizing committee is thrilled to announce that the submission
deadline for the Giornate Italiane di Linguistica Sperimentale has
been extended. The new deadline is May 22, 2026.
The Giornate Italiane di Linguistica Sperimentale, organized by the
Dipartimento di Studi Linguistici e Culturali Comparati (DSLCC) at the
Ca' Foscari University of Venice, aims to create a new forum for the
discussion and dissermination of experimentla research in Italy in the
fields of theoretical and applied linguistics, psycholinguistics,
computational linguistics and articficial intelligence applied to
language, language acquisition, sociolinguistics and historical
linguistics.
The conference welcomes original papers that address the analysis of
linguistic phenomena through innovative experimental approaches and
that contribute to the ongoing adaptation of research practices to
contemporary theoretical, methodological, and technological
developments.
The conference focuses on
 - The use of new technologies and tools for linguistic research
 - Statistical methods for the analysis of linguistic data
 -  Interdisciplinary and innovative approaches to linguistic
experimentation
 - Quantitative and experimental methods
Contributions may address, but are not limited to:
 - Phonetic, phonological, morphosyntactic, and semantic-pragmatic
phenomena.
 - Lexical representation and access.
 - Linguistic variation and language change.
 - Multilingualism and language contact.
 - Typical and atypical language acquisition.
 - Language, inclusion, and cognitive accessibility.
 - Machine translation and quality assessment.
 -  Computational modeling of linguistic phenomena.
 - Generative AI and language models.
 - Annotation, linguistic resources, and corpora.
Contributions concerning any language are welcome.
The conference language will be Italian.
