Subject: Language Intervention Networking Seminar Series
The Language Intervention Networking seminar series showcases
community practitioners working to support minority and community
languages across the UK. Each seminar has a different theme, and
features a panel discussion followed by time for Q&A.
Organised by the School of Language, Literature, Music and Visual
Culture at the University of Aberdeen, these seminars provide an
opportunity for language practitioners to network and share their
learning with colleagues in different language contexts, as well as
policy makers and academics.
Join our chair, Prof. Michelle MacLeod, and this week’s panel
discussing supporting language maintenance/revitalisation through
community activity:
Isobel Gregory – a.k.a. Grandma Griggly (Scots/Doric crafter and
social media star)
Emma Jenkin – An Rosweyth (Cornish language network)
Violet Li – Winter Violet Chinese Studio (Aberdeen)
Future seminars:
21/5/26 - Preschool Interventions
4/6/26 - Strengthening Social Networks
16/6/26 - Working with Young People
