We are excited to announce that the 13th AZCALL Conference will be
held at Arizona State University on November 14, 2026!
Theme: Technology and the Evolution of Language Research
The 13th AZCALL Conference is proudly organized by the
Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) Club at Arizona State
University, a student-led organization dedicated to advancing the
exploration and integration of technology in language learning and
teaching. In celebration of its thirteenth year, this year’s
conference is co-organized in collaboration with SparkLing, another
vibrant student-led organization within ASU’s Linguistics and Applied
Linguistics program.
Held annually, AZCALL is a dynamic one-day conference that brings
together scholars, educators, graduate students, and technology
enthusiasts from across the region to exchange ideas, build
professional connections, and engage in meaningful discussions on the
future of language research and pedagogy. The conference provides an
inclusive and supportive space for participants to showcase works in
progress, receive valuable scholarly feedback, and share innovative
research, academic projects, and conference presentations related to
computer-assisted language learning and applied linguistics.
The theme of this year’s conference, Technology and the Evolution of
Language Research, highlights the rapidly changing landscape of
language studies in the age of artificial intelligence, digital
innovation, and emerging educational technologies. Through
presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities, AZCALL aims
to foster collaboration and inspire new directions for research and
practice in the field.
We welcome proposals for 20-minute in-person presentations followed by
a 5-minute Q&A focused on technology-enhanced language learning and
assessment.
This is an excellent opportunity to share your work, receive feedback,
and connect with the CALL community.
Submission deadline: July 31, 2026
