The International Conference on Amazonian Languages, AMAZONICAS, was
conceived in 2007 as a biennial event, to be held alternately in
different Amazonian countries, with the main goal of serving as a
platform for the exchange of ideas and collaboration in the research
on Amazonian languages. The series of conferences have greatly
contributed to highlight the importance of Amazonian languages for
better understanding human language in all of its diversity, producing
strong academic outputs and strengthening ties within the community of
linguists dedicated to this region and beyond.
AMAZONICAS XI will be held at Pontificia Universidad Catolica del
Peru, between June 15 and June 18 2027. The conference consists of one
General Session and three thematic symposia focused on Phonology,
Morphosyntax, and Language and Society.

Symposium on Phonology: Phonology with a special focus on prosody and
intonation
Symposium on Morphosyntax: Complex sentences
Symposium on Language and Society: Language revitalization in high
