Subject: Syntax Tree Editor

The Interactive Syntax Tree Editor is a free, browser-based tool
designed to streamline the creation and modification of linguistic
syntax trees for academic research, publications, and teaching.
Unlike legacy tools that rely strictly on generating static images
from bracketed text, this editor provides a modern dual-interface.
Users can build trees using standard bracket notation or manipulate
them visually through an intuitive drag-and-drop canvas.
Key Features:
Interactive Drag & Drop: Visually restructure trees by dragging nodes
to swap positions or reassign parent-child relationships directly on
the canvas.
Auto-Tokenizer: Instantly generate leaf nodes from a plain text
sentence to significantly reduce manual bracket typing.
Dual Interface Real-Time Sync: Seamlessly switch between bracket input
and visual editing; changes in one interface are instantly reflected
in the other.
Academic Export Quality: Export trees as infinitely scalable SVG
vector graphics (ideal for LaTeX and journal publications) or
transparent PNGs.
Complete Customization: Full control over node spacing, fonts, label
sizes, and dark/light modes to match publication formatting
requirements.
Privacy by Design: The tool operates 100% locally within the browser
(client-side). No linguistic data or sentences are ever sent to a
server.
Academic Reference: This tool was developed as part of research
presented at the CLIB 2026 conference. Paper: "A Dual-Interface Syntax
Tree Editor with Automated Assessment for Learning Management Systems"
(Atanasov, 2026). Read the paper:
