linguists working in Generative Grammar all over the world to come
together and discuss current trends and topics in syntax, morphology,
semantics, phonology and their interfaces.
The 36th Colloquium on Generative Grammar (CGG36) will be organized by
Universitat de Girona (UdG) and will take place as an in-person
meeting from May 26th to May 28th 2027 in Girona (Catalonia, Spain).
Important Information:

Notification of acceptance: Late February
Colloquium dates: May 26-28, 2027
Venue: Faculty of Arts (Universitat de Girona)
Confirmed Invited Speakers:
Anna Paradís (University of Oxford)

Presentation formats and tracks:
For the main session, submissions are invited for oral presentations
(30 minutes of presentation followed by 10 minutes of discussion) on
any aspect of Generative Grammar. In addition, the conference plans to
include a poster session; depending on the number and nature of
submissions, the Scientific and Organising Committees may offer
authors the opportunity to present their accepted contribution as a
poster rather than as a talk.
Alongside the main session, the colloquium will host a thematic
workshop on «Grammatical phenomena in minoritized linguistic
varieties: theoretical, descriptive and applied dimensions» (20
minutes of presentation followed by 10 minutes of discussion).
Submission Guidelines:
- The same submission guidelines apply to both tracks (Main Session or
Workshop).
- Abstracts should be submitted as anonymous PDF files directly via
the dedicated submission section on the conference website
(https://esdeveniments.udg.edu/go/cgg2027). Please follow the platform
instructions to create an account and select the appropriate
category/track (Main Session or Workshop) when uploading your
abstract.
- Abstracts should be written in English and not exceed two pages of
text (A4), in 12-point font, single line spacing and 2.5 cm margins,
with examples and/or figures interspersed, and including references.
- Submissions are limited to a maximum of one individual and one joint
abstract, or two joint abstracts per author.
