Subject: Survey about Brazilians' Use of AI in English Academic Writing
My name is Glória Reis de Oliveira and I am a student of the Research
Master in Linguistics at Leiden University, in The Netherlands. This
survey is part of a student research project at Leiden University, in
the course Topics in Linguistics: Language Attitudes and Ideologies.
This research is about the use of AI tools by Brazilian students that
are part of a study programme held (mainly) in English (including
Bachelor's, Master's, PhD, specializations, or other types of
studies). It is about the use of these LLMs to help with your academic
writing in English. The programme you're part of can be totally
online, hybrid or in person. If you do not use AI at all, please do
not participate in the survey.
The survey takes about 15-30 minutes, depending on how detailed are
your responses for the open questions. We do not ask for your name.
Taking part is voluntary, and you can stop at any time before you
submit your answers.
Thank you very much for your attention and I hope you enjoy the
survey!
