Subject: Call for Participants — Doctoral Study on L2 Spanish Readability (CEFR)


I am a PhD candidate at National Taiwan University of Science and
Technology (NTUST), working on a readability model for Spanish as a
foreign language. I am currently in the validation phase of this
research and looking for two groups of participants:
Spanish learners (any L1, any level) to complete a placement test and
read a series of short graded chapters, rating their comprehension and
perceived difficulty. Fully online, self-paced, about 3-4 hours total
over 4-5 weeks. Link: carla2.pythonanywhere.com
Spanish teachers/instructors to serve as expert raters, judging the
CEFR level of a set of short texts. Fully online, self-paced, about
2.5-3 hours total. Link: carla2.pythonanywhere.com/expert
Both instruments are available in Spanish and English, with additional
interface support in Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and
German. I would be very grateful if list members could participate or
share this with students and colleagues.
