Subject: New Language Resource: UD_French-ECALM


We are pleased to announce the availability of UD_French-ECALM, a
corpus of handwritten manuscripts written by French pupils and
students enriched with automatic annotations of the part-of-speech
tags and syntatic dependencies; and manual annotations of the
graphical revisions, the misspellings and the reference continuities.
The resource currently available online provides access to 964 texts,
14,374 sentences and 221,776 tokens (conllu format, Creative Commons
Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.0 International License).
Access to the corpus is freely available at
https://gitlab.huma-num.fr/clle/UD_French-ECALM (Website in French :
https://ud-french-ecalm-fcb50d.gitpages.huma-num.fr/)
The corpus is also searchable online on Grew-match :
https://universal.grew.fr/?corpus=UD_French-ECALM@main
Grew-match permits to query the syntactic structure, the annotations
and the metadata of the corpus. It provides clustering tools and
export of the contexts into different formats, including TSV a KWIC
view.
This resource is particularly useful for studying the acquisition of
written language at all levels of analysis and for evaluating NLP
tools on non-standard data.
