Subject: PhD Research Study on L2 Writing – Call for Participants


My name is Yalda Shahmoradi, and I am a PhD student in Teaching
English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at the University of Tehran. I am
currently conducting my doctoral research on L2 Writing.
I am looking for participants who have studied English as their major
or have an Intermediate/Upper-Intermediate level of English
proficiency (approximately B1–B2 or above).
The study consists of two phases:
Phase 1 – English Proficiency Screening
Participants will complete the Oxford Quick Placement Test (OQPT) and
a short writing task (at least 150 words).

At the end of Phase 1, participants will be asked to provide their
contact information so that they can receive their OQPT score and, if
eligible, be invited to Phase 2.
Phase 2 – L2 Writing Study
Participants who meet the required proficiency level (B2) will be
invited through their contact information to complete the
questionnaires related to L2 writing, including L2 grit, writing
anxiety, writing self-efficacy, and future writing selves, followed by
IELTS Writing Tasks 1 and 2.

Phase 2 will take approximately 45–60 minutes to complete.
Participation in Phase 1 and Phase 2 is voluntary.
