L’esistenza di un fertile legame tra filologia e linguistica è
attestata da una lunga tradizione di studi. La disamina del patrimonio
scritto e orale, infatti, postula sia le operazioni di ricostruzione
tipiche della filologia sia le indagini che la linguistica può
applicare tanto ai testi quanto alle testimonianze orali. Il
patrimonio in questione può inoltre beneficiare di contributi
paleografici e archivistici, utili a comprendere meglio la
documentazione.
Il convegno dottorale pone al proprio centro il tema del mutamento,
indagato dalle due discipline secondo prospettive che, pur essendo
diverse, risultano interrelate. La declinazione del concetto di
mutamento proposta dal convegno fa riferimento alle nozioni di lingua,
cultura e patrimonio.
Modalità di partecipazione:
La call for abstracts è rivolta a dottorandi e dottorande.
Per partecipare alla selezione sono richiesti un abstract di non più
di 300 parole e una bibliografia essenziale.
Le proposte, sia in lingua italiana sia in lingua inglese, saranno
tenute in considerazione sia per sessioni di relazioni sia per
sessioni di poster, le quali si svolgeranno esclusivamente in
presenza.
Il tempo previsto per le relazioni è di 20 minuti.

Termine di consegna dell’abstract: 12 ottobre 2026.
Comunicazione dell’accettazione: 16 novembre 2026.
Data di svolgimento del convegno: 20-21 gennaio 2027.

The existence of a productive link between philology and linguistics
is attested by a long tradition of studies. The examination of the
written and oral heritage requires, on the one hand, the
reconstructive methods typical of philology and, on the other, the
analytical approaches that linguistics can apply both to texts and to
oral records. This heritage may also benefit from paleographic and
archival contributions, which are useful for a better understanding of
the heritage.
The conference focuses on the theme of change, explored by the two
disciplines through perspectives which are deeply interconnected, even
though distinct. The notion of change addressed by the conference
concerns concepts of language, culture, and heritage.
How to Apply:
The call for abstracts is addressed to Ph.D. Students.
To apply, please submit an abstract of no more than 300 words and a
short essential bibliography.
Proposals may be written either in Italian or English and will be
considered for both presentation sessions and poster sessions.
Presentations are scheduled to last 20 minutes.
Key Dates:
Abstract submission deadline: 12th October 2026.
Notification of acceptance: 16th November 2026.
Conference dates: 20th –21st January 2027.
