The Penn Linguistics Conference (PLC) is an annual conference
organized by graduate students in the Department of Linguistics at the
University of Pennsylvania. The 51st Penn Linguistics Conference (PLC
51) will be held at the University of Pennsylvania on February 27–28,
2027.
Invited Speakers:
- Karlos Arregi (University of Chicago)
- Rushen Shi (Université du Québec à Montréal)
We welcome abstract submissions for oral or poster presentations on
any topic in linguistics and related fields. Session topics in recent
years have included, but are not limited to, syntax, morphology,
phonology, phonetics, semantics, pragmatics, language acquisition,
psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, historical linguistics, language
change, and language contact. We encourage abstracts on both spoken
and signed languages.
Guidelines for Submission:
- Abstracts must be submitted in PDF format through OpenReview by
November 6, 2026 11:59pm anywhere.
- Abstracts should not exceed two single-spaced pages in 12-pt font,
including examples, figures, and references.
- Abstracts should be fully anonymized by not including author names
or affiliations.
- Authors are permitted to submit no more than two abstracts, and no
more than one single-authored abstract.
