RohingyaLanguage.org is a comprehensive, open-access digital resource
hub dedicated to the documentation, preservation, and study of the
Rohingya language [rhg].
The platform features a searchable online dictionary containing over
6,500 English-Rohingya entries, categorized by parts of speech and
standardized using Rohingyalish spelling. Additionally, the site
provides structured grammatical documentation, phonetic guides
detailing sounds and tones, and a practical phrasebook designed for
field researchers, NGOs, and humanitarian workers operating in refugee
contexts. These resources aim to bridge the gap between academic
language documentation and community-level digital literacy. All
materials are freely accessible online without installation or
subscription.
The Hanifi Rohingya Script Converter and Web Keyboard are free,
browser-based computational tools designed to support digital literacy
and text processing for the Rohingya language [rhg].
1. Script Converter: A real-time transliteration engine that
accurately converts text between the indigenous Hanifi Rohingya script
(Unicode block U+10D00–U+10D3F) and the Latin-based Rohingyalish
writing system.
2. Digital Keyboard: An online input method allowing users to type in
the Hanifi script on any device without requiring native OS
installation or font downloads.
3. Typing Tutor: An interactive module offering live WPM tracking and
structured lessons to teach the Hanifi script to native speakers and
researchers.
These tools support RTL (Right-to-Left) rendering and are designed to
facilitate the digitization of Rohingya texts for academic research,
language data annotation, and community use.
