Subject: AI Meets Language: 2nd International Seminar on Applied Linguistics and Artificial Intelligence


We are delighted to announce AI Meets Language: 2nd International
Seminar on Applied Linguistics and Artificial Intelligence, organised
by the LinguaCor Research Group (HUM-1144) at the University of
Córdoba.
The seminar will take place on 13 November 2026 in the Aula Magna of
the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Córdoba. It
will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend
either in person or online, and registration is free of charge.
The programme will feature six plenary lectures delivered by leading
specialists: Marie-Claude L’Homme, who will address sustainable
terminology and artificial intelligence; Antonio Pareja, who will
discuss applications of AI in the language industry; Constantin
Orăsan, who will explore artificial intelligence and accessible
language; Antonio J. Tinedo, who will focus on AI and the annotation
of gender bias; Alejandro Martín, who will examine deep learning and
disinformation detection; and Aurora Ramírez Quesada, who will discuss
bias and stereotypes in machine translation.
The event will conclude with a roundtable discussion on the present
and future of artificial intelligence in linguistic research.
