Description:
The X Linguistics Summer School of Bolivia (LSSB) will take place at
San Simon University on December 1 to 11, 2026.
The Linguistics Summer School of Bolivia is a grassroots initiative
program that teaches Linguistics in Bolivia, a country with 36
officially recognized native languages. Since 2016, the LSSB has
organized annual courses to teach a variety of courses in Linguistics
to younger generations. This program has pioneered introducing the
scientific field of Linguistics in a linguistically and culturally
rich country, Bolivia.
In celebration of the decade of the LSSB, this year four areas of
linguistics will be taught:
-       Introduction to Linguistics
-       Semantics
-       Historical Linguistics
-       Computational Linguistics
-       Language typology
The courses will be taught by linguists from United States, Europa and
Brazil. The courses will be taught in Spanish, and they are free for
students. Registration starts on October 21, 2026.
The decade will also host a variety of special events. Be part of the
X LSSB in la Llajta, Cochabamba, Bolivia.
