8es Journées internationales d'analyse statistique des données
             textuelles du 19 au 21 avril 2006 à l'Université de
             Besançon (France)

Les journées internationales d'analyse des données textuelles (JADT)
réunissent tous les deux ans, depuis 1990, des chercheurs travaillant
dans les différents domaines concernés par les traitements
automatiques et statistiques de données textuelles. Elles permettent
aux participants de présenter leurs résultats, de confronter leurs
outils et leurs expériences.  Les 8es journées d'analyse statistique
des données textuelles JADT2006 réuniront à l'Université de Besançon
(France), du 19 au 21 avril 2006, statisticiens, linguistes,
sociologues, spécialistes d'analyse du discours, informaticiens,
spécialistes de lexicographie et de fouille de textes.

Notification des acceptations aux auteurs : 20 décembre 2005
Version finale : 30 janvier 2006

Langues autorisées pour les présentations
Les présentations pourront se faire dans l'une des langues suivantes :
français, anglais, espagnol, italien. Aucune traduction simultanée
n'est prévue.

Modalités de soumission

Les articles soumis devront décrire un travail original et
novateur. Les contributions devront contenir un état de l'art et des
références à des travaux antérieurs pertinents.
Les participants souhaitant soumettre une communication ou une
communication affichée (poster) doivent envoyer par voie électronique
au responsable du comité d¹organisation
jean-marie.viprey at univ-fcomte.fr , avant le 15 novembre 2005 :

· le titre de la communication
· les noms, affiliations et adresses complètes (+fax, email) des
  auteurs
· les mots-clés 
· leur communication (longueur conseillée 8 pages, 12 pages au
  maximum)
· un résumé dans la langue de communication choisie
· un résumé en anglais (300 mots maximum)
· les références bibliographiques

Les notifications d'acceptation seront envoyées aux auteurs le 20
décembre 2005.
La version finale de la contribution devra être présentée selon les
règles de formatage téléchargeables sur le site et parvenir au comité
au plus tard le 30 janvier 2006.

Présentations orales

La durée des présentations est de 20 minutes. Comme ce fut le cas à
Louvain (Jadt2004) les posters donneront lieu à une courte
présentation orale en séance plénière.

Actes
Les actes JADT2006 rassemblant la totalité des contributions acceptées
seront distribués à tous les participants au début de la conférence.

8th International Conference on the Statistical Analysis of Textual Data

The 8th International Conference on the Statistical Analysis of
Textual Data will be held in Besançon (France), on April 19-21,
2006. This biennial conference, which has constantly been gaining in
importance since its first occurrence in Barcelone (1990), is open to
all scholarsand researchers working in the field of textual data
analysis; ranging from lexicography to the analysis of political
discourse, from information retrieval to marketing research, from
computational linguistics to sociolinguistics, from text mining to
content analysis. After the success of the previous meetings, the
three-day conference in Besançon will continue to provide a
workshop-style forum through technical paper sessions, invited talks,
and panel discussions.

The themes of interest of the conference concern the application of
statistical models and tools in the following domains:

* Stylometry / Textometry
* Frequency Dictionaries

* Textual Clustering and Classification
* Information Retrieval
* Hypertext
* Software for Lexical and Textual Analysis

Languages for the papers and the presentations

Submissions, communications and presentations can be made in any one
of the following languages:

English, French, Italian, Spanish

All communications and presentations must contain an English abstract.
As in the previous meetings, no translation will be provided.

Submission

Submissions should be limited to original, evaluated work. All papers
should include background survey and/or reference to previous
work. The authors should provide explicit explanation when there is no
evaluation in their work. We encourage the authors to include in their
papers proposals and discussions of the relevance of their work to the
themes of the conference.

Participants wishing to submit a paper or present a poster should send
to the head of the program committee (jean-marie.viprey at univ-fcomte.fr
<mailto:jean-marie.viprey at univ-fcomte.fr> ) the text of their paper
for review by November 15th, 2005, providing the following
information:

* Name(s) of author(s);
* Affiliation(s);
* Full postal address with fax and e-mail of the authors.
* Title of the proposed paper with keywords;
* An abstract in the chosen language.
* An abstract in English (maximum : 300 words)
* The full text of the communication (8 pages recommended, 12 pages
maximum) comprising the following phases: problem addressed, state of
the art, proposed methodology, obtained results, bibliographical
references.

Notification of acceptance will be sent to the authors by December
20th, 2005.
The submitted papers should conform to the format that will be
provided to the authors on our Website and reach the committee no
later than January 30th, 2006.

Presentations

Paper presentations will be limited to 20 minutes each.
Following our positive experience in Louvain-la-Neuve (JADT 2004), a
short presentation of the posters by their authors will be given in
dedicated plenary sessions.

Proceedings

All the accepted papers will be collected and issued as proceedings to
the participants at the start of the conference.
Note that in JADT conferences, the distinction between posters and
communication concerns only oral presentation. The texts corresponding
to the accepted posters will be included in the proceedings.
