The II Spanish Conference on Information Retrieval will be held at the
Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Informática of the Universidad
Politécnica de Valencia on 18 and 19 June 2012.

Information Retrieval
Jaap Kamps, University of Amsterdam - Retrieval of XML documents
All accepted papers and posters will be published in a conference
proceedings book with ISBN, in electronic format, as well as in the
conference's website.
The Spanish Society of Information Retrieval (SERI) supports IR in
Spain. All scientists interested in Information Retrieval related fields
are welcome to participate. We encourage national and international
researchers to submit original papers, written in Spanish or English,
related to any aspect of IR including, but not limited to:
IR models
Performance, scalability, architectures and efficiency
Web IR
Web IR Quality Evaluation
User studies, models and interaction
Filtering and recommendation systems
Structured retrieval (XML, etc.)
Digital libraries
Vandalism detection in the Web, in Wikipedia, opinion spam
IR in social networks
Detection of pedophilia, stalking, bullying
Image and video retireval
Music search engines
Retrieval of plagiarised text fragments / information
Text mining (classification and clustering)
Passage Retrieval and Question Answering
QA on transcribed texts / voice QA

Collaborative IR
In CERI 2012 there are two call for contributions: one for regular
papers and another for posters. Regular papers must no exceed 12 pages
in the LNCS Springer-Verlag format. Posters must be not longer than 4
pages in the same format. Regular papers will be presented in English or
Spanish at the scientific sessions of the conference, and posters will
be exhibited and presented in a special Posters session.
Important dates
Regular papers submission deadline: 26th of March
Posters submission deadline: 31th of March
Notification: 30th of April
Camera ready: 14th of May
Conference: 18th and 19th of June
