_Proposition d'une thèse financée en Sciences du Langage_.

Financement CIFRE : Airbus/CLLE-ERSS (UMR 5263)

Dans le cadre de la conception des futures générations de cockpits,
Airbus souhaite définir les formats de textes les mieux adaptés pour
communiquer de manière efficace (compréhension rapide et sans ambiguïté)
des catégories d'informations (ordre, état, etc.) selon les contextes
(urgence, etc.), en fonction de l'intention à transmettre
(provoquer/bloquer les réactions immédiates, calmer, etc.).

Le sujet de thèse concernera les textes écrits en anglais sur les écrans
des postes de pilotage à destination de pilotes de diverses langues
maternelles.

Le chercheur CIFRE aura pour tâche de définir ces formats de textes. Il
s'appuiera sur les travaux existant dans le domaine des langages
contrôlés. Ses propositions, basées sur des connaissances linguistiques,
feront l'objet d'une évaluation psycholinguistique visant à mesurer
l'efficacité des messages traités au niveau des processus cognitifs de
compréhension du langage.

La thèse se déroulera à Toulouse.

_PhD grant in Language Sciences_

CIFRE Funding: Airbus/CLLE, ERSS team (UMR5263)

Within the framework of the conception of future cockpits, Airbus aims
to define the most adapted text formats to communicate, in the most
efficient way, some informational categories (order, state, etc.)
according to different contexts (like emergency) and depending on the
intention to transmit (to induce/to block immediate reactions)

The PhD subject will focus on English written texts presented on the
cockpit screens for pilots having a different L1.

The researcher recruited by this CIFRE contract will have to define the
formats of these particular texts. She/He will rely on the scientific
literature devoted to the domain of controlled languages. Her/His
proposals, based on linguistic knowledge, will be tested through
psycholinguistic experiments measuring the relevance and efficiency of
these messages, but according to the cognitive processes involved in
language comprehension.

M2 in Language Sciences or in English linguistics

High level proficiency in English
