I would like to draw your attention to a website at which you get a chance to
listen to the Low Saxon (Low German) language:

It requires RealPlayers™, and you may download that program free of charge
from that page.

The webmaster is Hermann Havekost at the University of Ollenborg/Oldenburg.
Authors read their works.  The oldest of them is 92, the youngest 10 years of
age!  The dialects are all from the far northwest of Germany.
