Anja et al.,

The use of "frein" to mean "relation" is also usual in Ulster-Scots, where
"feir/fiere" or "billie" would be used to mean English "friend" (thus
perhaps "Freins an Billies" to answer your question).

One exception to this is the heading of formal letters, where the receiver
is named "Worthie Frein".
