The comments about "while" reminded me that the phrase "just now" has three
different meanings, as in:
"I saw him just now" (a little while ago)
"I'm busy just now" (at present)
"I'll do it just now" (in the near future).

Still on the subject of time-duration there is an interesting difference
between English and Scottish uses of the verb  "stay" meaning "live",
"dwell". An English person "stays" in a place temporarily. A Scottish person
can "stay"  permanently in a place.
