How do you decide what is Scottish Gaelic and what is Irish? They were the
same language originally, and even today there is a continuum of mutual
comprehension, in that someone from Islay is much more likely to be able to
understand someone from Donegal, than someone from Lewis is likely to
understand someone from Cork.
