Dear Lowlanders,

Sorry about the test message that went out to everyone on the List yesterday.
Mike Adams, a new subscriber from Alaska, has been trying to post to the List,
but the processor has problems with Mike's messages because they automatically
come with a signature as an attachment.

This is a welcome opportunity to let all of you know that you should not send
messages with attachments to the List.  There are two reasons:  (1) The
processor (ListServ) seems to be unable (or unwilling) to accept attachments
(some, not all?).  (2) Sending attachments to mailing lists is not usually
condoned; many subscribers would resent it.

So, please, no attachments.  If your signature comes as an automatically
created attachment, please turn off that function before you send a posting
submission to the List.
