Hello,
Ron wrote in answer to Steven (can`t remember which one):

Well, as far as I`m informed at least "De Fischer un sien Fru" un de
"Machandelboom" are not recorded by the brothers Grimm. "De Fischer un sien
Fru" can`t be told by someone so far from the sea. I`ve heard (or read)
that
they were collected by Philip Otto Runge (a german artist) who lived in
the Low Saxon-speaking area. To this time it wasn`t so unusual to have
one`s
interests wide spread. Runge has even illustrated the tales he collected.

It`s a pity but only too true. "De Machandelboom" is my favorite tale.
Greetings from Kiel,
Anja
