Dear Lowlanders,

Some of you may be interested to know about the _Svenska Akademiens ordbok_
(Dictionary of the Swedish Academy): http://g3.spraakdata.gu.se/saob/

Not only can you look up Swedish words there, but there is also an
etymological dictionary in the making.  (Click on "Etymologi".)  Furthermore,
you can look up words in/from various other language varieties, including
Lowlandic ones: American English, non-American English, English dialects,
Middle English, Old English, Frisian, Low German (Low Saxon), Middle Low
German (Middle Low Saxon), Middle Low German (Middle Low Saxon) dialects, Old
Low German (i.e., Old Saxon), Dutch, Dutch dialects, Middle Dutch, Shetlandic.

I am not totally sure about this last thing.  Can you look up any word in
those languages, or are these only loanwords in Swedish?  If the latter, then
the Old varieties should not be there.  Or are they added to show pre-loan
forms?

At any rate, it's a great resource in the making.
