Maybe not, as I'm not sure what you're referring to out of
context! Some example sentences, please?

I just thought of another use of the diminutive in Scots -
"bidie-in", meaning someone who "bides in" with a person,
ie stays with them extramaritally.

Any other examples of verb + diminutive ending + preposition
or suchlike?
