  part of a larger poem? Also, is the "poetic" Dutch poem above a separate
  poem on the same theme or is it being offered as a free translation of
  the original?

Sandy: I did not ignore your question.  I was just not able to reply
sooner. For that I am sorry.
It is simply my own free translation of the French,, not part of another
text.
