I do hope this is not an inappropriate forum for this question! If so, my
apologies.
I am a composer of contemporary music, and I have been trying to think of a
title for a piece of music I have written. My thinking has led me to coin
the (Dutch) neologism 'straalvluegel', with the intention of titling the
piece 'de straalvleugel'.
I would be curious to have the opinion of the members of this list as to
whether this sounds plausible. If you saw this word, what would you think it
meant? (I don't wish to prejudice anyone's thinking at this stage by
revealing what I think it might mean!)
One last question; the piece is actually to be premiered in Fresia. Is there
a parallel neologism possible in Frysk? What would that be, and what might
it imply?
Many thanks in advance.
